Roy Hayden Kinslow, Phd, P.E., passed into heavenly rest on August 20, 2020.

He was born in Dallas to A.V. Kinslow, Sr. and Nannie Ray Kinslow. He was a 1942 graduate of Sunset High School. He earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering at Texas A & M University and M.S. and PhD degrees at UT-Dallas. He was a high-speed Morse code radio operator in the U.S. Army Air Corps in New Guinea during World War II. He said he served without distinction but with great pride. He was a respected safety engineer and in 2007 he was recognized by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers for his 50 years of service as a registered engineer. He attended First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch and was a member of Oak Cliff Masonic Lodge 705,

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife Melessilee Brookshire Kinslow, brothers Kenneth, A.V., and Jon, and sons Kerry and Stephen. He is survived by children Dean, Jeff, Suzette, Melissa, Susan, and Paul, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service and interment will be held at the DFW National Cemetery on Wednesday, September 2, at 1:15 pm.
