Sonya "Raven" Shannon
June 5, 1975 - March 31, 2020

Sonya Renay “Raven” Harris Shannon, 44 of Quinlan, TX passed away on March 31, 2020. She was born on June 5, 1975 to Linda and Aubrey Harris in Greenville, TX.

Sonya was a Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She gained her wings after battleing Lupis for 10 years. Sonya married the love of her life, Timothy Shannon on January 7, 1995 where all the way up to the end of her life they were just like teenagers with each other. She could make anyone smile and laugh. She graduated Iola High School in 1993, she gained an associates degree from Blim College and went on to become a fighting Texas Aggie where she got a Bachelor in genetics and a Masters in public health she also gained her Phd. In Public Health she went on to work at the State of Health department in Arizona as an Infectious Disease epidemiologist in 1996 our son, Corey Shannon was born, she was so proud, then in 1997 our second son Jordan Shannon came into this world and in 2004 Kaiden Shannon was born, she was so happy being a Mom you couldn’t ask for a better Wife, Mom, Sister and Daughter. She was so loved and gave more love back. Sonya enjoyed arts and crafts, paintings. Also enjoyed singing and dancing. Loved spending time with her boys. Sonya was also a big Aggie and Astros fan.

Sonya is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Timothy Shannon; sons, Corey Shannon and his fiancé,Shyanne Gibson, Jordan Shannon and his fiancé, Amber Lane and son Kaiden Shannon and Kai Shannon; her Mom and Dad Aubrey and Linda Harris; brother, Jeff Harris and his wife, Michelle;aunt who was more like a sister Shelly Lively and Jason; lifetime bff, Mike and Angie Karr, along with a host of loving relatives and friends.

Sonya is preceded in death by her grandparents; mother in law, Audra Shannon and numerous aunts and uncles.

There will be a Visitation on Friday, April 3, 2020 from 5-8 PM at Lynch Funeral Service Chapel in Greenville, TX.
