Jack D Bryant earned BS and MS degrees in Mathematics from Texas A&M University. While an undergraduate, he served in the Army Corps of Cadets. Continuing his pursuit of mathematics, he earned a PhD from Rice University. He then returned to Texas A&M University becoming a Professor of Mathematics. While a professor, he and his colleague Larry Guseman brought in contracts from NASA. In his research with NASA, Dr Bryant was one of the pioneers in the field of pattern recognition.
It is with the fondest tribute that we remember Dr Jack Bryant.
