Thomas Robinson Starr
April 15, 1938 - December 7, 2019

Thomas Robinson Starr, 81, of Granbury passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Graveside service: 11:00 AM, Friday, December 13, 2019, Starr Cemetery, Elkhart, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vitas Hospice.
Thomas was born on April 15, 1938 in Roscoe, Texas to Luther James and Mary Lucille (Robinson) Starr. He proudly served his country in the Army Medical Service Corps. He graduated from Texas A & M in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and he was a devoted Aggie Fan. He worked as a civil engineer with energy transmission lines and as a District Engineer for 25 years at AMUD.
Thomas married Claire Elizabeth Anderson on June 8, 1963 in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and cherished time spent with his family.
Thomas was a true Texan who would not leave Texas. He loved Texas history and flower gardening with Native Texas plants. He always had some projects in the works and he spent a lot of time in his shop. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Thomas is survived by his wife: Claire Starr, children: Carlene Starr Bowman and husband Ron, Michel Collis, Patricia Starr, and Andrew Starr, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brother: James Starr, Jr., and numerous extended family members.
