Donald M. Baltz
May 7, 1921 - September 5, 2019
Donald M. Baltz, age 98 of Tyler, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 in Lindale, Texas. He was born May 7, 1921 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the late Ferdinand and Nancy Lee (Tisdale) Baltz. Donald served his country in the United States Navy as a dive bomber during WWII, and later graduated from A&M University in 1942. He lived over 45 years in Austin, Texas where he retired as a Civil Engineer. Donald was very passionate about attending A&M football games where he was known to enjoy tailgating. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his beloved family. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Laurine Baltz; and brothers, Ferd and Roy Baltz.
Donald is survived by his children, Don Baltz and wife, Gaye of Florida, Mike Baltz and wife, Judy of Tyler, Texas, Mark Baltz and wife, Marsha of Austin, Texas, Nancy Crenshaw and husband, David of Tyler, Texas, Jeffery Baltz of Amarillo, Texas, and Julie Keahey and husband, James of Austin, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
