Russell Mobley (of Gypsum)
Born: Tue., Aug. 24, 1971
Died: Sun., Aug. 11, 2019
Russell R. Mobley, II
Left this life on August 11, 2019 in Gypsum, Colorado after a UTV accident. Russell died unexpectedly, doing what he loved in our mountains, where he lived with his wife and step-children.
He was born on August 24, 1971, in Texarkana, TX. He graduated from Tupelo High School, in Tupelo MS, in 1990. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1994 with a major in Computer Science. He pursued a career in Computer Technology first with Nortel in Dallas
and then as a contractor with a third-party vendor in Denver, CO.
Russell was always active in sports – baseball and soccer during his early school years and then concentrating mainly on soccer. Russell and his high school friends Ralph and Amy, drove to Colorado for winter break his first year in college and he fell in love
with the state. He loved skiing and the blue sky and the mountains and the true seasons. He lived in a basement apartment with his friend Susanna for several years. Eventually, he bought a condo in the middle of downtown Denver – The Spire. 2015 was a really
good year for Russell: he began working for his current employer, AutoDesk, and has been so blessed by the organization. Then, the best time of his life came when he met Dana. And his life for the past four years has been the happiest of his whole life.
Russell is survived by a host of the most amazing, caring and loving friends anyone could ever hope for, his Mother-in-law Cathy Spears and brother-in-law Duston Spears, Nephews Shawn Ellis, Stephen Ellis, Seth Ellis, Niece, Megan Ellis; his step-Dad, Pete
Romanyak (and family: Colin, Jennifer, Shelby, Morgan, Kylie, Logan Carrell); his brother-in-law Michael Ellis, his sister Cristy Ellis, his step-children: Grayson Hyatt and Aberle Hyatt; his mother Susan Romanyak and the love of his life, Dana Hyatt-Mobley.
Russell would want all of us to be happy for the memories, in keeping his love for life alive in our own hearts, always and forever.
A Nursery will be provided during the service on Saturday.
THE FAMILY REQUESTS NO FLOWERS.
