Charles Allen McBride
MAY 17, 1938 – AUGUST 10, 2019
Charles Allen McBride, 81, passed away August 10, 2019 in Houston, Texas. He was born May 17, 1938, in Greensburg, Pa. to Glenn Archie McBride and Kathryn Dorothy Gormley. He has a younger brother, Gary Harper McBride. He married Oveta Ann Bedingfield on November 15, 1963.
Allen grew up in Houston and attended Lamar High School. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked at Cameron Iron Works for a short time and then went to work for Forged Products Inc. in 1965 and was employed there for over 47 years. He was operations manager, vice president and then president. He retired in 2013. He received numerous awards throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Ann, of 55 yrs. They have 3 children, Dennis Archie McBride, David Harper McBride and Angela Lane Trimm, who is married to John Q. Trimm (Jake), who have 3 sons, Kyle Allen, Aaron and Adam.
Allen loved Ann and his children, and one of his greatest joys was being a grandfather.
Memorial donations should be made to Audubon Society of Houston, SPCA and Texas Wildlife.
