Charles Lee Daugherty
5/13/1977 - 6/4/2019

Charles Lee Daugherty, 42, of Houston, Texas passed away suddenly on June 4, 2019. Charles will be forever remembered by his precious children, his loved ones and friends. He was born in Pasadena, Texas on May 13, 1977. His family moved to Friendswood during his adolescent years and he graduated from Friendswood High School. He continued his education and graduated from Texas A&M (Class of ‘99 Whoop!) and then attended the University of Houston Law School where he earned a degree in law and practiced in Houston, Texas.

Charles was active in the Probate Bar and recently joined Holland & Knight Law Firm as Senior Counsel in the Litigation section. Charles had a passion for cars, loved to laugh and always laughed big! His hugs were huge as his arms surrounded you with love. He loved traveling, especially to California either to enjoy the great wine or take on a roller coaster at Disneyland. His children brought him great joy. He enjoyed watching his daughter’s joyful dancing and love of performing and acting and his son‘s football games and band performances.

Charles is survived by his two children, Tyler and Lauren, Stacy Guzzetta Daugherty, the mother of his children of Friendswood, Texas, his parents, Sherri and Tommy Daugherty of Houston, Texas, his brother Curtis Daugherty of Round Rock, Texas, his grandmother Lillian Daugherty of Deer Park, Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and June Bolick of Belton, Texas and Lee Daugherty of Deer Park, Texas.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held Friday, July 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Friendswood Friends Church, 502 S. Friendswood Dr, Friendswood, Texas 77546. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Charles may be made to Friendswood Education Foundation or a college fund that has been established for Lauren and Tyler Daugherty through Fidelity.
