George Lee Ramsey Jr.
April 14, 1941 - April 17, 2019

George Lee Ramsey Jr., loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully April 17, 2019, at the age of 78. George was born in Corpus Christi, TX, on April 14, 1941. He was the youngest son of George and Edna Ramsey. He faithfully served his country, first in the Air Force, and then in the Coast Guard, when after 20 years and one week, he retired happily. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M and work in the defense industry for another 23 years before retiring in 2008. George spent his retirement happily smoking cigars, drinking “top drawer” margaritas, and going back to what he loved-volunteering with the VA.

He is survived by his six beloved children: Kim, Timothy and wife Karen, Jennifer and husband Chris, Lori and husband Eric, Carol Ann, and Holly and husband Patrick; and his beloved wife of 38 years: Marilyn. He also leaves behind several precious grandchildren whom he adored. He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Edna; and his five brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to your local VFW https://www.vfw.org/, or to the Alzheimer’s Association of North Texas https://www.alz.org/northcentraltexas/events.
