Richard A. (Rick) Berry(1956 - 2016)
BERRY, Richard (Rick) A. of Mesquite, TX. went to heaven on January 5, 2016 in Dallas, TX. He was born in St. Louis, MO. On November 7, 1956 to Richard M. and Elizabeth Berry. Rick was married to Melinda Bethel on December 20, 1980. Survivors include his wife, Melinda and their two sons, Richard Logan Berry and Stephen Bennett Berry. He is also survived by his father and two sisters, Ann Hird and Sandy Berry and their husbands. Rick's career as a traffic engineer included working for several consulting firms in Dallas, the City of Mesquite and the City of Plano. Rick loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Scofield Memorial Church. He especially enjoyed participating in Boy Scouts and the Order of the Arrow with his sons, and serving in Troop 890 was a real joy to him. A celebration of Rick's life will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas, TX on Saturday January 9, 2016 at 11:00AM. His family would enjoy visiting with friends at the reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Troop 890 of Dallas, TX or to his son Stephen's college fund.
