Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 1956
Allen Greer, beloved father, grandfather, Aggie and friend passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, February 17, 2019 after a long, but thankfully gracious, battle with Dementia.
Allen was a member of the Class of ’56, and he honored his time in the Corp giving life one Hell of a Whoop by holding firm in the traditions he learned and beliefs he acquired during his time as a student in Aggieland.
A lover of gardening, cooking, fried shrimp and all things maroon, he is already sorely missed for his perpetually happy nature, smiling face and steadfast belief that his family was the best of the best.
Our family will honor his memory on April 23, 2019 at the Bay Area A&M Club’s Muster ceremony, and we hope that any and all who knew him will make time to join us and raise a glass of Cabernet in his memory!
Both of his grandsons, current Maritime Academy cadets at Texas A&M Galveston, will stand on his behalf. Anyone with fond memories, photos or sentiments of Allen is welcome and encouraged to contact his family via email.
