Jerry V. Kahlbau(1927 - 2019)
KAHLBAU, Jerry V. Jerry V. Kahlbau, age 91 of Buda passed away January 6, 2019 Jerry was born May 7, 1927 in Mingus Texas. He was a proud Texas Aggie, a Navy veteran and worked for Applied Research Laboratories until retiring to become owner of Birds Nest Airport. January 7,1951 he married LaNelle Janca. They raised three children, Cindy Schmidt, Larry Kahlbau and Roger Kahlbau. Jerry is survived by two children, Cindy Schmidt and Roger Kahlbau, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving caregiver of the past four years, Janie Mendez. A memorial gathering will be held March 2, 2019 at 11 thirty a.m. at his Buda home.
