GILBERT J. DRAB passed into eternal life on October 23, 2018. Born September 26, 1937 to Gilbert W. and Irene Mach Drab in Houston, he was 81. After graduation from Texas A & M University, Gilbert was most proud of his work as an engineer with NASA where he tested some part of every rocket ever fired into space and later as a designer and builder of chip manufacturing facilities around the world. At one time he owned a herd of registered Brangus cattle and was an avid antique marble collector. A man of unique talents, he had many hobbies and many friends.

Gilbert is survived by his wife of sixty years, Deanna Green Drab; two sons, Daryl and wife Susan, Derek and wife Dale, one daughter, Dana and husband Tim Reagan; six grandchildren Amber, April, Jordan, Kiley, Jessica and Chans; and six great-grandchildren Gracey, Reese, Grant, Will, Easton and Rylee; one brother Howard and wife Gloria and one sister Carolyn Mabee; extended family and friends.
Services will be held Sunday November 4 at St. James on the Lake Episcopal Church at the entrance to Cedar Creek Country Club at 2 p.m. Visitation after the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital for Children https://scottishritehospital.org Use Gilbert Drab as the identifier.
