DECEMBER 11, 1929 – DECEMBER 2, 2018

C.H. “Jerry” Burk, 88, passed from this life to his eternal home on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, in the Moore Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with interment following in Moore Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Thursday.

Jerry was born Dec. 11, 1929, in Carlsbad, NM., to Paul & Lula Burk. He lived in Hobbs, NM. He was a graduate of Hobbs High School & Texas A&M with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He worked in the Engineering Department of Vought Aircraft for 40 years, retiring in 1992. He was a model airplane enthusiast and for many years an avid “garage-sale” shopper for items which he donated to Mission Arlington Metroplex.

He was a faithful, longtime member of Fielder Church and used his talents to make tables, speaker podiums and choir racks in the early years of Fielder, as well as in the last few years, teaching a men’s Bible class until his health declined.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Gwen; a daughter, Debra Dahl of Ft. Worth; a son, David Burk and wife, Debbie of Arlington; grandchildren, Tim Crow, Candice Dahl, Angela Dahl, Ashley Burk Wiggs, and her husband Dylan, Kayla Burk and Garrett Burk; and two great-grandsons, Connor Crow and Samuel Wiggs.
