Since his baptism at the age of 8 by Rev. David C. Mitchell, Pastor of FIfth Ward Missionary Baptist Church, Jon served in various ministries and had associations with area churches like Lakewood Church, under Pastor John Osteen, and Evangelistic Temple. He had been an active member of Encourager Church since 2000.
Left in God’s care and to cherish his memory is his devoted wife, Debra; mother, Carrie Chapple Taylor; brother and sister-in-law, Elgin and Nina Taylor; sister Marlive Taylor-Harris; nieces, nephews and other beloved relatives and friends.
