Family-Placed Death Notice

NEEL, William Dr. William Wallace Neel, 94, died Saturday, February 11, 2012, in his sleep; peacefully, at his home. Dr. Neel is survived by his children; Sue Nicholson of Decatur, GA and Penman Neel of Snecksville, PA, and five grandchildren. Dr. Neel was an Entomologist at Mississippi State University, before retiring in 1984. After moving to Decatur, Bill was active in the Oak Grove Senior Sunday School class, a volunteer at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Men's Garden Club, and the Decatur YMCA. in lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Senior Ministry, 1722 Oak Grove Road, Decatur, GA, 30033. A memorial service celebrating Dr. Neel's life will be held at 2:00 o'clock, March 11, 2012 in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home , 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA, 30084. (770)491-3021
