Daniel Robert Reetz
Born: November 21, 1989
Died: November 4, 2018
Location: College Station, Texas

Daniel Robert Reetz was born on November 21, 1989 and passed away November 4, 2018 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Danny attended Cedar Creek Elementary, Hill Country Middle School and was a 2008 graduate of Westlake High School. Danny was a member of Cub Scout Pack 91 and Boy Scout Troop 5. Daniel loved sports and outdoor activities. Danny excelled at baseball, snowboarding, water boarding, hunting and fishing and was an expert rifleman. After high school, Danny answered the call of duty and enlisted in the United State Marines. As a member of the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines, also known as the Warlords, he went on two deployments, one to Afghanistan and one as part of patrol squadron on the U.S.S. Mesa Verde off the coast of Libya. Lance Corporal Reetz was honorably discharged in 2012. He immediately enrolled at Blinn College and then transferred to Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M, Danny was an active member of the 3 Gun competitive shooting team where he participated in numerous competitions. Danny completed his studies in 2017 earning a bachelor's degree. For the past year, Daniel lived his dream job as a manufacturer's representative with The W.L. Carter Company in College Station in the outdoor shooting sports industry for top brand outdoor sporting products including Sig Sauer.

Danny lived life to the fullest, never sidestepping an adventure or a challenge. His flame may have died but his passion for life will stay with us always.

Danny is survived by his grandparents, Joe and Lucy Drymala of Comfort, Texas, his parents Robert and Wanda Reetz of Austin, sister Kelsey of Dallas, and brother Andy of Austin, twelve aunts and uncles and fourteen first cousins.

Services will be held Monday, November 19, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5455 Bee Cave Road, West Lake Hills, TX 78746 (Austin) (512) 328-3220. Military burial services will take place on Tuesday, November 20, at 11:00 a.m. at the Comfort Cemetery, Comfort, Kendall County, Texas, located on 3rd Street.
