Reed Alexander Rankin(1933 - 2018)
October 12, 1933 - October 25, 2018
Mr. Reed Alexander Rankin of Seguin, Tx passed away at his home on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the age of 85. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 12, 1933. A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, class of 1955, Reed continued his education at St. Mary's School of Law, where he graduated, class of 1959 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas that same year. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margot Rankin and his parents, Thomas and Norma Rankin. Survivors include his sons, Mark Rankin and wife Constance and their sons, Gary and Brian Rankin; step son, Ty Carey and step daughter: Michelle Simpson and her husband R. W., grandchildren, Hunter and significant other Anna, Tiffany, Shane and significant other Heidi, Luke and Karyn. Reed was blessed with great grandchildren as well, Tyler, Addison, Silas and Bryson.
Reed was an avid fisherman, hunter and wildlife conservationist. He thoroughly enjoyed his time fishing at Port O'Connor and treasured time spent with family.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
