APRIL 27, 1971 – OCTOBER 1, 2018
JENNIFER K. NEWBERRY April 27, 1971 October 1, 2018
Jennifer K. Newberry passed away at her home on October 1, 2018 in the loving presence of her family. She was born Jennifer Blair Kowalczyk on April 27, 1971 to Ronald and Helen Kowalczyk in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was raised in Houston, Texas and graduated
from Klein Forest High School in 1989. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station in 1993. After graduation Jennifer worked for Compaq Computer Corporation in Houston, Texas where she met her husband
David Newberry. Jennifer and David were married on May 11, 2001. She became a mother to Katherine Michel (2003) and Joshua Blair (2006). In addition to her faith and family, Jennifer’s greatest passion became her children. Jennifer relocated to Colorado in
2005 with David and her two children and left work to become a full time mother. Jennifer loved raising her children, participating in their lives, and traveling with her family to the mountains and throughout the country. Jennifer was gifted with incredible
beauty, indomitable strength, and an unshakeable faith. These gifts became beacons to all of us in her 6 year battle against cancer. Throughout her life journey and in her battle she awed and inspired us with her grace and dignity. Jennifer is survived by
her loving husband David Newberry, her two beautiful children Katherine and Joshua, and her mother and father Ron and Helen Kowalczyk. She will be so greatly missed by her extended family (Newberry, Slaby, Blair), her St. Michael’s Episcopal family, her many
close childhood friends, her wonderful Colorado friends, and her team at the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute. Please join the family for a celebration of Jennifer’s life on Saturday, October 13th at 10:00 AM at St. Michaels Episcopal Church in Colorado Springs,
CO. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society @ https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate
