Edward Lacy Tallichet, Jr was born in old Memorial Hospital in Houston,Texas on Dec. 29, 1922 to Lilian Walker and Edward Lacy Tallichet. He graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1940 and was in the Texas A&M class of "44" which was interrupted by war.
During WWII he served as 1st LT in the U.S. Army Air Forces, 8th AF, 34th Bombardment Group (H). He flew 33 missions earning the Distinguished Flying Cross, four Air Medals, several Battle Stars and the European Theater of Operations Ribbon. Upon returning
from the army he graduated from Texas A&M in 1948 with a BS in Civil Engineering. He was a registered professional engineer in the states of Texas and Louisiana. He retired from Brown & Root in 1986 as a Group Vice President. He had been a member of Braeburn
Country Club, the Houston Yacht Club and the Houston Engineering Society. In 2013 he and his wife moved to Greensboro, NC to be near family. He is survived by his wife, Maryanne Lynch; daughter, Jana Tallichet Darling; grandson Jace Edward Darling and wife
Lee; granddaughter, Ellie Darling Edwards and husband Stephen, and great grandchildren, Tinsley McLean Darling, Greycie Jane Darling, and Jake Bennett Edwards. He will be buried at sea in Galveston Bay near LaPorte, Texas.
