CLYDE I. BOYER JR.
Clyde I. Boyer Jr. passed away peacefully April 12, 2003. Born 1913 in Philadelphia, PA to Clyde Boyer Sr. and Kathryn Reed Boyer, he was raised by his stepmother, Emma Polson Boyer.Clyde had a degree in Veterinary Meducine from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Pathology and Bacteriology from Texas A&M. He was head of the Vet Diagnostic Lab at Cornell. He served in the Medical Corp. in WWII and retired a Colonel in the U.S. Army.Clyde enjoyed hiking w/the Green Valley Hiking Club and fishing, and was a member of Alumni Assoc. and the ROA. Clyde is noted in "Who's Who in N. America" for his accomplishments, and as a good husband and father by his wife of 61 years, Sell.Survivors include his wife, Ethelder Sell Boyer; daughters, Gail Moore and Sandra Boyer; son, Clyde Boyer III; grandchild, Tiffany Moore.Services will be held Friday, April 18, 2003 at 2 PM, from East Lawn Mortuary, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ with pastor Eugene Ogna officiating.Memorial contributions in memory of Clyde I. Bower Jr. may be made to Hospice Family Care Foundation, 310 S. Williams Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85711.
