Dr. Glenn Edwin "Doc" Guy II
August 12, 1953 - September 10, 2018

Dr. Glenn Edwin "Doc" Guy II, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018. He was 65 years old.
He was born in Houston, Texas on July 12, 1953. Shortly after his family moved to Nassau Island, Bahamas, where he enjoyed much of his childhood. After which he moved to El Paso, Texas where he graduated from Eastwood High School. There he met and married his best friend and love of his life, Debra Anne Guy, in 1971 at the age of 18.
Together they left El Paso and headed east where he enrolled at Texas A&M University, to pursue a Medical degree. Doc was an avid Fighting Texas Aggie with children and grandchildren following in his legacy.
They eventually moved back to El Paso to raise their family and build their life together. Doc and Deb were always involved in their community, holding free clinics and physical clinics at his Alma Mater Eastwood High School. They eventually retired to their haven ranch in La Union, New Mexico. He used his retirement to give back to his church community, traveling and providing medical services on several mission trips around the world.
Doc was a warm and compassionate spirit that connected with people wherever he went. He had a positive impact in all things that he was involved in. His life and actions were marked by his faith in God, his love for his Savior Jesus Christ, his abounding love and loyalty to his family, his dedication to serving his church and others, and his unwavering integrity. He will be remembered as having a true Aggie Spirit and upholding all the ideals that are found imbedded in the spirit.
Doc is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 47 years, Deb; parents Glenn Edwin Guy I and Harriette "Tibby" Lillian; his son Glenn Edwin Guy III, wife Hannah Rae and grandchildren Glenn Edwin Guy IV, AvaClaire, Tate Hamilton, Lincoln Pierce of Rockwall; his daughters Carlye Rene Birdwell, husband Grant and grandchildren John Douglas, Henry David of Dripping Springs; Lyssa Smock, husband Patrick and grandchildren Eleanor McClain, Tyler Glenn, Matthias Garrison, Ilse Anne, Elin Lijsbeth of Saint Paul, MN; aunt Lindy Granger; cousins Karen Guy, Kathleen Strachen, Guy Crossley, Jamye Geovanni, Kellye Gaudin & John Garrett.
A memorial will be held to celebrate the joy and overflowing love of Doc's life on Friday, 14 September, at Calvary Chapel Sun City at 960 Borderland at 11:00 a.m. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home West. Please visit our online registry book at www.sunsetfuneralhomes.net.
