GREGORY CARL LAIN
September 09, 1954 - August 24, 2018

Gregory Carl Lain, age 63, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2018, after suffering an aneurysm. Greg was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, on September 9, 1954 to Lee Lain and Doris Wagener Lain.

Greg graduated from Hobbs High School in 1972 where he was a member of the Hobbs Eagle Marching Band, a member of the mixed choir, and manager of the mighty Hobbs Eagles basketball team under legendary coach Ralph Tasker. He later graduated from New Mexico Junior College in 1974, Texas A & M in 1977 and finally University of Texas Southwestern. Greg graduated from Texas A & M with a bachelor of science in Adaptive Physical Education in 1977 at the top 15-percent of his class. He was an Aggie through and through. At UT Southwestern, he studied prosthetics and orthotics.

Greg married Christine Glass on August 1, 1992, at New Life in Christ Lutheran Church in Duncanville. He was an active member of his church, New Life in Christ, where he regularly served in the choir. Greg had a variety of occupations ranging from construction to over twenty years working as a prosthetist orthotist at Hanger clinic in Arlington. He was passionate about his calling to help and care for anyone that he was around. Greg loved his family, golf, and ice cream.

Greg is survived by his wife of 26 years, Christine, his sister Gale Drummond, daughter Rachael Ren, son-in-law Andrew Ren, step-sons Derek and Travis Worth, grandsons Jamie Ren and Carter Worth, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Greg was preceded by his mother and father Lee and Doris Lain.
