Richard Miles Scholl
January 9, 1936 - July 30, 2018

Richard Miles Scholl, 82, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Richard was born on January 9, 1936 to Leon Miles and Doris Crisp Scholl in El Paso, TX. After El Paso his family moved to Sherman for a little while before moving to Greenville where his graduated high school in 1954. Richard went to college at Texas A&M University where he graduated in 1959 with a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. Richard married Wilma Mae Bradford in Dallas on September 11, 1959 and spent almost 60 years together. He then was drafted in the Army and they spent 2 years in Huntsville, AL where he was stationed at what is now known as George C. Marshall Space Flight Center. When he was discharged from the Army they moved back to Dallas where he began working as a supervisor in a lab creating circuit boards for what is now Alcatel. In 1993 from Alcatel and spent more time with his hobbies. His biggest hobby was photography and every October he and his wife would travel the world for the whole month looking for wonderful fall scenery. He also enjoyed deer hunting, piddling in the workshop building things, spent some time as a glider pilot, and enjoyed grilling and barbecuing. He was a member of the Forney Church of Christ where he spent 40 years as an elder, while teaching Sunday school classes and preaching every once in a while. His parents and his sister Sara True preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Wilma of Kaufman, TX; daughters: Deborah Scholl Koetter and husband David of Seabrook, TX and Pam Brimer and husband Clyde Jr. of Kaufman, TX; grandson Joshua Miles Koetter and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
