He received his Bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1964 from The University of Arizona, Master's degree in civil engineering in 1967 from Texas A&M and his Ph.D. in civil engineering in 1970 from Texas A&M.

He received many accolades and awards during his career and was a scholar who taught engineering courses for Mississippi State University. He relocated to Fort Worth in 2001 and continued his career with Applied Research Associates.
Dr. Rohani was a member of the Baha'i Faith. He served the faith in numerous capacities. In his various roles, he helped many. Over the years, Dr. Rohani was eager to give his time and talents. He exemplified a heart of service. He greeted everyone with a smile and genuine courtesy, often times walking away with a new friend.
In his personal life, Dr. Rohani was a loving and devoted husband. He loved to spend time and travel with his wife. He and Simin took regular walks in their neighborhood and knew their neighbors by name, their stories, their families and their dog's names.
Dr. Rohani was a tremendous role model for his sons. He always made time for them and took interest in their activities. He supported them with unconditional love. He was eager to impart his wisdom and instilled key life lessons such as humility, be the source of good to whoever crosses your path, and be generous in prosperity and thankful in adversity.
