Kenneth Tyler Underriner
JUNE 4, 1983 ~ JUNE 14, 2018 (AGE 35)

Kenneth Tyler Underriner was born June 4, 1983 in Corsicana, TX the first child of Dr. Ken and Sharon Underriner. He attended Mabank Public Schools, graduating from Mabank High School in 2001 – lettering in basketball and golf. Tyler entered Texas A&M University as part of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2005, where he specialized in the “recreational sciences,” ultimately graduating with his degree in Agricultural Journalism.

After receiving his degree, Tyler began the pursuit of his true vocation: establishing and building personal relationships with others, not just the selling of a product. Beginning locally at Teague Chevrolet and A Plus Affordable Roofing, he then moved on to Cowboy Toyota in Dallas. During this time, he did the best selling job of his life, selling himself to Ashley Clark, who would become his wife and best friend for life. In 2012, Tyler and Ashley moved to Katy, TX, and he began a career in Oil & Gas with L.A. Turbine, selling gas turboexpanders to plants across Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

The couple moved back to Dallas, with Ashley supporting the family from her new position at UT Southwestern, and Tyler began the process of seeking new opportunities. Tyler loved sports of every kind and hoped to one day unite this passion with a career in sports. During college, he worked in the Ticket Office for Aggie Athletics where his boss told him he was the worst employee ever. Clearly his professional skills had developed, because he was hired into sales for the Dallas Maverick organization; a job he truly loved. He recently received the Champion Award for Total Revenue Sold, #1 in New Revenue, Top Producer, and Million Dollar Seller; ultimately rising to the position of Season Ticket Sales Manager for the organization. Along with a new career path, Tyler followed his dream by continuing his education, achieving his MBA from University of Phoenix in 2017.

After the loss of their first child, Will, they were blessed to have a miracle son, Jack Andrew on March 19, 2017. Tyler so enjoyed everyone else’s children, so it was a dream fulfilled to have a child of his own.

Tyler Underriner left this world on June 13, 2018 as a loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. Survivors include his wife Ashley, son Jack Andrew, parents, Ken and Sharon Underriner, sister Katy, grandmothers Gerry Frensley and Pat Underriner, in-laws Dennis and Phyllis Clark, brother-in-law Dustin, his wife Casey, along with nieces Kaylee and Lillie.

The Underriner and Clark families would especially like to thank their church family at FUMC Mabank and the Dallas Mavericks organization for their unwavering support during this difficult time.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Mabank, TX. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 – 8 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the Underriners request donations to the First United Methodist Church of Mabank or the Dallas Mavericks Foundation.
