James (Jim) was born in Yoakum, TX on August 30, 1936. He attended and graduated from Cuero High school in 1954. After graduation he enlisted in the US Air force in 1955. He served 23 years in the Air force and retired as a Master Sargent with the occupation of an FAA certified Air Traffic Controller Inspector. After completing his degree at the age of 45, James worked for General Dynamics in their missile defense system. He retired after 11 years of service with General Dynamics and focused on spending time with his 3 sons and many grand children.
