Kenneth Franklin Williamson
June 11, 1926 - February 13, 2018

Kenneth Franklin Williamson, 91, died Feb. 13, 2018 in Round Rock.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2018 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. The memorial service will be conducted by Mr. Williamson’s nephew, James Paul Worley. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Kenneth Franklin Williamson was born June 11, 1926 in Wallis, Texas to Eldridge A. and Olga Blazek Williamson. He was a 1947 graduate of Texas A&M University, and received a Master’s Degree from M.I.T. He married Lyra Worley on Dec. 22, 1945. Mr. Williamson was vice-president of marketing for Pacific Valves.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Brenham. He loved to travel, and also treasured time spent with his granddaughters. He also enjoyed the distinction of being the oldest living heart transplant recipient in the U.S, as well educating people on the lifesaving organ donor program.

Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Lyra Williamson of Georgetown; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Joan Williamson of Palmdale, California; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tommy Erlanson of Leander; brothers and sisters-in-law C. Verne and Rose Hartman of Alvin, and Bo and Pat Williamson of Katy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon Townsend and husband Robert of Katy; Ona Fae Boland of San Antonio, and Lewis Worley of Florida; grandchildren: Caroline Williamson, Jacqueline Erlanson, and Rebecca Erlanson. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Larry Williamson.

Serving as pallbearers are Bo Williamson, C. Verne Hartman, Robert Townsend, Leonard Phillips, Mickey Phillips, Mark Hartman, and Tommy Erlanson.

Honorary pallbearers are Caroline Williamson, Jacqueline Erlanson, and Rebecca Erlanson.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
