Ricky Glenn Crislip
July 30, 1954 - February 6, 2018

Ricky Glenn Crislip passed away in Round Rock TX on February 6, 2018 at the age of 63. He was born in Taylor TX July 30, 1954 to James and Margaret Crislip of Hutto, who preceded him in death.

Rick was a graduate of Reagan High School in Austin, and Texas A&M University. He married Claudia Buchanan in 1984, and they welcomed their daughter, Sarah, in 1987.

After college, he followed in his father’s footsteps with military service – first in the U.S. Marines and then in the U.S. Air Force, where he attained the rank of Lt. Colonel. He was proud to be a reservist, and he had a passion for service to his country. While raising their daughter, Sarah, Rick & Claudia chose to be civilians so that he was able to not travel during her childhood. They settled in Pflugerville TX, where Sarah grew up and graduated from high school.

Rick was a police officer with the Pflugerville Police Department & a Latent Fingerprint Examiner for the Austin Police Department. He then became Facility Manager for First Baptist Church of Pflugerville, where they attended church for a number of years. Their current membership is at Crestview Baptist Church in Georgetown. They are grateful for the many friends they have in both congregations.

Family was of utmost importance to Rick. He was a great man – a dad, husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He is survived by his wife, Claudia; daughter (Sarah Bujko & husband Jordan); brother (Lynn & wife Kay); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, February 9, from 6-8 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church, 2300 Williams Drive, Georgetown TX. Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, February 10, at 10 a.m. also at Crestview, followed by burial with military honors at the Hutto City Cemetery on FM 1660 South.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to one of the following would be greatly appreciated:

Shiloh McCutcheon Cemetery Association, 2904 Duff, Arlington TX 76013;
Texas Baptist Children’s Home, 1101 North Mays, Round Rock TX 78664;
or the American Cancer Society.
