John Daniel Moore III
May 20, 1938 - September 27, 2017

John Daniel Moore III, 79, of Baytown, Texas passed away September 27, 2017.

John was born in Atlanta, Texas on May 20, 1938 to John Daniel Jr. and Charlie Mae Moore. He lived life fully serving in the United States Army “Lone Star” 49th Armored Division; he was a member of the United States Forester Service and retired from Southwestern Laboratories. He graduated from Atlanta High School in 1957 and is an alumni of Texas A&M and Louisiana Tech Universities. His greatest pleasures were sports, ham radio, photography, music, playing guitar, traveling and spending time with family, especially his beloved cousins, grandchildren, and his little "doggy" Cornbread. He was preceded in death by his parents, John D. and Charlie Mae of Atlanta.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-laws, Kimberly and husband Johnny Holt from Willis, Texas and Jennifer "Gigi" and husband Andrew Green from Dayton, Texas; grandchildren Chance, Matthew and Rachel; great grandchildren Jaden, Rylan and soon to arrive Chance Wyatt; a host of cousins, family and friends that loved him.

Graveside services will be held October 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at Laws Chapel Cemetery- 4065 FM 2328, Atlanta, Texas under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Memorials may be sent in c/o Hanner Funeral Service for placement at the graveside to 103 W. Main Street, Atlanta, Texas 75551
