ALFRED MARKHAM
December 1, 1930 - January 14, 2018
Alfred L. Markham, age 87, of Temple passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at a local care center.
He was born on December 1, 1930 in Temple the son of Lynn Markham of Holland, Texas and Olean Toliver Markham from Temple.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jon Markham of Temple.
He is survived by his brother Glyn McFarland of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and his family.
Alfred joined the United States Navy as an Aviation Structural Mechanic, Naval Aeronautics, Air transport Squadron Three, NAS. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree and Aeronautical Engineering degree. He was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, American Institute of Aeronautics, and Astronautics. Alfred loved life, family, friends and orphaned animals. May he fly into Angels wings.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery 11463 TX 195, Killeen, Texas 76542.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or the The Alzheimer’s Association (www.ALZ.org). www.scanioharperfuneralhome.com
