Russell W. Krueger Jr.

Russell W. Krueger Jr., 66, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at his home in New Braunfels after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Rusty graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1969, and attended Texas A&M University, graduating in 1973. He married Loretta Coldeway of New Braunfels in 1973, raising two children in Bryan, Texas. After 29 years with USDA Rural Development, he retired in 2007 and moved back to New Braunfels with his wife. Rusty enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell W. Krueger, Sr; father and mother in-law, Lewis and Eleanor Coldeway.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Loretta Coldeway Krueger; mother, Dorisse Kropp Krueger; sister, Gail Krueger of New Braunfels; son, Nathan Krueger of San Antonio; daughter, Emily Krueger Dornier and husband Daniel of New Braunfels, grandchild Henry Dornier and another grandson on the way. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Pamela Coldeway; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Tonya Coldeway and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, December 12 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, TX.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Hope Hospice of New Braunfels.
