Dr. Otho M. Simms

Dr. Otho M. Simms, 86, died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Indianapolis.

He was born Nov. 9, 1916, in Texas. Survivors include two daughters, Dora Marlett of Indianapolis and Doris McGrew of Sarasota, Fla.; and a granddaughter.

He attended Texas A&M University and Baylor University Medical School.

He was employed by the Veterans Administration, serving as chief of internal medicine at the veterans hospital in Fort Wayne.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a doctor in North Africa and the Italian campaigns.

A service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
