Lucian Loyd "Lou" Morgan(1928 - 2017)
Lucian "Lou" Loyd Morgan PARADISE VALLEY, ARIZ.--Lucian "Lou" Loyd Morgan, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a hardfought battle with Parkinson's disease. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Lou was residing at Marilyn Manor where he was lovingly cared for. He was born Dec. 22, 1928, in Wichita Falls to J. Hugh Morgan and Myrtle Irene Huffman Morgan. The family later moved to Fort Worth where he attended Poly High School. In 1949, Lou graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in chemical engineering and went on to earn a Master's degree in nuclear physics from Southern Methodist University. Following graduation, Lou met the love of his life, Dorothy Dill, and they were married shortly thereafter. Lou took a position with Lockheed Martin, and they moved from Texas to Los Altos, Calif. While working there he and two co-workers developed the fuel formula for the spaceship used in the first moon landing. Later, he was a project manager for President Reagan on the secret, "Star Wars Project." Lou loved God, his family, hunting, fishing and Texas A&M. Lou was preceded in death by his two children, Larry Morgan and Miles Morgan. SURVIVORS: His wife of 69 years, Dorothy Dill Morgan: sister, Ann Morgan Brock of Arlington; niece, Dr. LynneAnne Brock of Milwaukee, Wis.; and one of the special lights of his life, his granddaughter, Courtney Morgan of San Jose, Calif.

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA - Lucian "Lou" Loyd Morgan, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a hard fought battle with Parkinson's disease.
