Robert Swanson Hutton
September 18, 1921 - September 23, 2017

Robert “Bob” S. Hutton Jr., 96, a World War II Navy Veteran of Georgetown, Texas passed away at home September 23, 2017. Bob was born to parents Robert Sr. and Ione Hutton (Crawford) on September 18, 1921 in Desdemona, Texas.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 10 am at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, 701 Smith Creek Road Georgetown, Texas 78626.

Bob attended Tarleton State and Texas A&M University where he obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout his working career of 38 years in the Oil and Gas industry, Bob lived all over Texas in Alice, Corpus Christi, Odessa, and Houston. He retired in January of 1988. Bob was a member of the Protestant church. In his free time Bob enjoyed playing golf, playing cards (competitively) with his family, working the daily crossword, and eating ice cream.

Bob married his first wife Jeraldine K. Hutton (Kelley) on November 11, 1952. They were able to share their love for many years before her passing on June 25, 1984. He married his second wife Betty Jo “Becky” Hutton on March 12, 1988. They enjoyed traveling, hiking, and friends for many loving years until her passing on August 25, 2014.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Jerrie; and second wife Becky.

To cherish his memory, Bob leaves behind his daughter Nina Hutton of Fort Worth, Texas; son Keith Hutton of Westlake, Texas; granddaughters Jaqueline “Jacqui” and Katelin “Katie” Hutton of Westlake, Texas; stepdaughter Sharyn Hamm of Austin, Texas; stepgrandson Chris McHone of Brussels, Belgium, niece Suzanne Trimble of Springfield, Connecticut; and nephew Richard “Dick” Hutton of Weatherford, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
