Charles H. Yeager, 72, passed away Tuesday, September 19 at his home in Franklin.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Interment will follow at Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Charles was born January 27, 1945 in Dallas the son of Charles Jr. and Thelma (Thomas) Yeager. He served as a firefighter, Assistant Chief and Training Officer with College Station Fire Department for 19 years. He served as Fire Chief for La Marque and Lockhart Fire Department for a total of 15 years and retiring with Lockhart Fire Department.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Yeager; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Delene Yeager; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Bruner and Larry Goodman, Leslie and Lesley Roberts; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Fred Sims, Nancy and Truman Fincher; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

The family would like to thank Hospice Brazos Valley, Franklin Fire Department, College Station Fire Department and Conroe Fire Department for the care and support they have giving to Charles.
