Benibo "Ben" Sinny Benibo, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at his residence.
Before coming to the United States to earn his B.S. and M.S. in Agricultural Mechanization from Louisiana State University, and his Ph.D. in Poultry Science from Texas A&M University, he had served in the Nigerian military, and worked in petroleum refineries.
His professional career was concentrated within the field of his training. In his academic pursuit, he published several scientific studies, one of which was utilized by author Neville G. Gregory and world-renowned scientist, Temple Grandin in their collaborative
work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sinny and Eva Benibo; sister, Naomi; and brothers, Basoene and Arthur.
Survivors include his wife, Lois C.Benibo; sons, Dafiya Benibo and Josiah Benibo, both of Chattanooga; brother, Eré Benibo of Nigeria; sister, Dalaboba Benibo-Okanje of Nigeria; Mother-in-Law, Olevia Chevis; a large host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; several
in-laws and other relatives and friends.
In keeping with his wishes, his funeral services will be held privately with his family. Public memorial arrangements are pending announcement.
