Peter Anthony Brand
January 17, 1974 - July 5, 2017
Peter Anthony Brand, age 43 of Rockwall, TX, passed away July 5, 2017. He was born January 17, 1974, in Bloomington, IL, to William “Dean” Brand and Christine Sandra (Knight) Brand. Peter was raised in Austin, TX, with his brother, Mark. Peter graduated from Pflugerville High School, and then went on to attend Texas A&M where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. “Gig ‘Em, Aggies!” He met Marcy Nicole Jacobsen during their sophomore year at Texas A&M and the couple were married on July 20, 1996. Peter & Marcy have been blessed with three children: Dylan Leonard (16), Ashley Ann (13), and Owen Anthony (10). Peter enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and golfing. He was there to cheer his kids on during their games and was a great coach to them when needed. He was very close to his kids, and will be missed like no other.
Peter’s career began at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he worked as a CPA for ten years. Peter transitioned to work for Essilor International S.A for a year prior to becoming self-employed.
Peter was a man of faith. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Rockwall, where he enjoyed serving for a number of years on the finance council. He will be missed by his church community.
Peter loved music, country in particular. He enjoyed following all Texas professional sports and of course, his most beloved Texas Aggies! He was a friend to all and devoted much of his life helping others.
Peter was preceded in death by his grandparents: Leonard and Christine Brand; his uncle: Leonard E. Brand; his father-in-law: Tom Jacobsen; and man’s best friend: Luke.
His life will continue to be remembered and celebrated by his wife: Marcy Brand of Rockwall; parents: Dean and Christine Brand of Heath; children: Dylan, Ashley and Owen Brand; the best black lab: Harley; brother: Mark Brand; mother-in-law: Mary Jacobsen; brothers-in-law: Jeff Jacobsen and wife Deanne, Rob Jacobsen and wife Tracy and Chris Jacobsen; niece: Tori; and nephews: Chase, Will and Ben.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am, Monday, July 10, 2017, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1305 Damascus Road, Rockwall with Father George Monaghan officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A casual gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday evening at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
Memorial Donations can be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
