David Anthony Benesh Our beloved father, Paw-Paw, brother, teammate and friend passed away June 23rd 2017 from natural causes at the age of 69. Dave was the son of William Foy Benesh and Frances Elizabeth Nolan Benesh and the third of their three children. Both his brother, Joe, and sister, Kathy, meant a tremendous amount to him.

Growing up, Dave loved to play sports and excelled in baseball as a pitcher. He played baseball and graduated from both St. Thomas High School in Houston in 1966 and Texas A&M University in 1970. His teammates called him Big Dave and Rabbit. He was known as a fierce competitor who was always a positive force in the dugout but wouldn't hesitate to spit in the eye of every opponent he faced. Not only did he dominate on the field, he was just as determined in the classroom as shown by his Masters of Statistics earned in 1972 from Texas A&M. He used his education and un-paralleled work ethic in the business world with Texas Instruments, Mostek, and several companies he helped start with his business partners and friends.

Dave was also a loving father and grandfather. He was married 18 years to Frances Boudreaux Benesh who gave birth to his only son, Andrew, in 1976. Andrew's two sons, Will and Blake, refer to their grandfather as Paw-Paw. Dave loved his son and grandsons so, so much. He would never hesitate to tell them how much he cared about them and how much he believed in them. This meant more to them than Dave ever knew.

All who knew Dave will miss his positive disposition and selfless nature.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents and his brother.

Dave is survived by his son, Andrew Benesh and wife Julie, their two children, Will and Blake, his sister, Kathy and her children, Megan, Scott, and Tom.

A memorial service to celebrate Dave's life will be held Friday, June 30, at 10:30 am at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 2700 Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75023.

Arrangements under the direction of Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, Dallas, TX.
