David Harkness
TOM BEAN - David "Lou Ghee Hocker" Gray Harkness passed away at the age of 61 on Tuesday in Denison of cardiac related complications from Myasthenia Gravis.
David was born on January 1, 1956 in Ros-well, New Mexico to Hulon and Nellie Harkness. He graduated from Cloudcroft High School in Cloudcroft, New Mexico in 1974, from Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1984, and from UT Dallas with his MBA in International Business in 2003. He worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and enjoyed wine-making, Minesweeper, and scam-baiting spam e-mail predators.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Yvonne Harkness; and his children, Katie Dearing of Portland, Oregon, and Kevin Harkness of Sherman, Texas; grandson, Oliver Dearing; his mother, Nellie Harkness of Tom Bean; and brothers, Howard and Thomas Harkness.
A memorial service honoring David's life will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 23rd at Kentuckytown Baptist Church. 264 Kentuckytown Rd, Whitewright, Texas, 75491.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America.
