Greg Warren Wilson

Greg Warren Wilson, 57 passed into his eternal reward on Saturday May 27, 2017. He was born on May 29, 1959 in San Antonio, TX to C. Ivan and Lola Wilson. He was the third of four boys and was “just the one we wanted.”
After graduating from Mary Carroll High School in 1977, Greg obtained a business degree from Texas A&M University class of ’81. As a youngster, Greg’s grandfather nicknamed him ‘Happy Jack’ which was a true reflection of Greg’s personality throughout life. He loved people and quickly developed deep personal relationships with those he encountered. Greg’s ability to connect with people served him well in his banking and real estate career. From custom home building in the DFW area, to President of First City Bank in Aransas Pass, to an agent with Coldwell Banker, Greg loved helping people find solutions to their needs. Greg was a very loving and compassionate caregiver to his parents during the last seventeen years of their lives. Perhaps his greatest asset was how comfortable everyone felt around him. You could be yourself with Greg.
Greg is survived by one son, Grant Wilson and daughter-in-law Katie of San Antonio, TX. LaDonna and Steve Mack of Boerne, three brothers, Alan Wilson (Catrina) of Corpus Christi, Dale Wilson (Sandy) of Alice, and Mark Wilson of Clear Lake. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. Greg’s quick wit and Happy Jack personality will always be remembered and cherished.
The visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kings Crossing Church of Christ, 5901 Yorktown Blvd., Corpus Christi, Texas.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Kings Crossing Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to The Driscoll Foundation or the charity of your choice.
