Timothy Joseph Hedrick

Tim Hedrick, 54, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017, after an extraordinary five and a half years in the ring with his toughest opponent, cancer.

Tim was born in Minneapolis, MN, to Patrick and Olive Hedrick on March 19, 1963. He graduated from Westchester High School in Houston, TX, and was a very proud graduate of Texas A & M University in College Station, TX. After college, he began his career in the computer industry, transitioning to agricultural commodities trading, then settling into several leadership positions in commercial real estate property management, most recently in Shreveport.

He married Vickie Diane Behne on October 9, 1993, in a beautiful ceremony in Cuchara, CO. Vickie and Tim had two wonderful children, Sera and Alan. He loved and cherished his family above everything. In addition to his family, Tim had three other loves - dogs, grilling with 'the Egg,' and Texas Aggie football. Among many things his extended family will miss will be his animated participation on A & M game day.

Tim leaves behind his devoted and loving wife, Vickie, and the children he worshiped, Sera and Alan, all of Shreveport, LA. He also leaves his parents, Patrick and Olive Hedrick of Houston, TX, and his parents-in-law Robert and Ramona Behne of Guymon, OK. Tim was the youngest of five children and will be fondly missed by his siblings: Bill (Kate), Tom (Madeleine), Pat (Dora), and Kathy (Jim) and brothers and sisters-in-law Ric (Julie), Judy (Johnny), and Russell (Karen). He also leaves behind 22 nieces and nephews and their families who looked up to Uncle Tim as an inspiring role model, the most fun uncle, and someone they could talk to about anything. Tim was also a bright light among 54 first cousins.

Services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans, Shreveport, LA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the children's educational account. Contributions can be made to the Sera and Alan Hedrick College Fund at BancorpSouth, any branch.

Special thanks to the team at The Family Doctors, MD Anderson Cancer Center, UT Southwestern, University Neurosurgery, Willis Knighton Oncology, Rehabilitation, Home Health, and Hospice.
