J. M. "Buddy" Bradford, 82, Murchison, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Murchison with Rev. Cliff Cooper and Rev. Tim Samples officiating.
Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens.
Mr. Bradford died July 26 in Athens.
He was born November 19, 1925 in San Antonio to the late Dr. Jonathan Murray and Myrtle Agnes Gwinn Bradford. Buddy graduated from Baylor University in 1947 and had a 35 year career as a petroleum engineer with Lone Star Gas/Enserch Exploration, Inc. He resided in Murchison 23 years where he was a member of First Baptist Church.
Buddy was preceded in death by a brother Dr. A. G. Bradford and sister, Margaret Hoberg.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Bradford, Murchison, son Jon Bradford, Portersville, Calif., daughters, Toni Bradford, Heath, Mary Bradford, Emory, sister, Betty Egbert, Austin, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Brown, Bobby Womack, William Calvert, Larry Bass, Homer Benton, Mark Bird.
Family will receive condolence calls at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home 6:00-7:30 P.M., Tuesday
