Carlos Olmos, 55, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away after a long illness on May 14, 2017 surrounded by his family and faithful canine companion, Marley.

Carlos was born April 18, 1962 in Houston, Texas to Esteban Cesar and Martha (Mendez) Olmos. He graduated from Spring Branch High School and then attended Texas A&M University where he was a proud member of the Corps of Cadets, Boozin' B, Class of 1985. He made many memories and lifelong friends there before he graduated with a degree in Mechanized Agriculture.
After both graduating from Texas A&M, Carlos met Desiree (Allee) at the young adults club at St. Cyril of Alexandria Church in Houston. They married in 1994 and would devote the next 23 years to raising their family together. As anyone who met him would agree, Carlos was an avid Aggie fan and spent many football seasons with his family and friends at Kyle Field rooting on his beloved Aggies. If he wasn't in Aggieland or in a front-row seat at his sons' sporting events, you might have found Carlos, in his trademark glasses and sincere smile, in Gruene listening to live music or enjoying vintage cars.
He is survived by his loving wife, Desiree Olmos; son, Donald E. Olmos and girlfriend Renee McCoy of College Station, Texas; son Michael H. Olmos of New Braunfels, Texas; father, Esteban Cesar Olmos of Houston, Texas; father and mother in-law, Don and Cathi Allee of Boerne Texas; sister-in-law, Suzanne Michele Allee of Washington; close friends, John and Sandra Randolph of Houston, Texas; Harold Kincaid; Gilbert Huron; Adrian Ramos; Joseph Craig; and Ricky Gebhardt. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Olmos. Carlos was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where he counted his friends there as family as well.
Public visitation will be Wednesday, May 17th from 5 - 9 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home including the Vigil and Rosary Service at 7 PM. The funeral mass will begin at 1 PM on Thursday, May 18th at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Tony Pesek as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery with a reception at the church hall after the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carlos' name to the "Aggie Ring Fund for Veterans" at https://www.aggienetwork.com/give/ringscholarship/.
