Jeffery Wayne Pelt passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, the 9th of May 2017, in Houston, Texas at the age of 53.
Jeff was born on the 12th of November 1963, in Bryan, Texas and lived in Duncanville, Midlothian, Montgomery, La Grange, and Houston, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University in College Station. He was an entrepreneur founding Stone Concepts, and Pelt Signature Builders. Recently, he was a building consultant for Envista Forensics. He was a member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Ranch & Wildlife Committee, a member of Wagon 13, Desperados, of the Salt Grass Trail Ride, and a member of The Rancher's Ride. He was an avid hunter, loved the outdoors and all Texas A&M athletics.
He is survived by his father and mother, Phillip and Doris Pelt of La Grange; his fiancée, Michelle Maresh, and her son, Cameron Maresh of Houston; his son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Bobi Pelt, and their children, Isabella, Jordan, Samantha, and Kaylee Pelt of Conroe; his daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Kevin Dunn of Montgomery; his son and son's fiancée, Coby Pelt and Dana Maresca of Euless; his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Bryan Roberts, and their son, Elijah Roberts of La Grange; his nephew and nieces, Gabriel Griego of Oklahoma City, OK; Alice Scheid of Lawton, OK; and Hannah Griego of Edmond, OK.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Lana Carlton; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Marvene Davis; and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Helen Pelt.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the afternoon until seven o'clock in the evening on Sunday, the 14th of May, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The funeral service will be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Monday, the 15th of May, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in the adjacent grand foyer.
The interment will follow the reception, via an escorted cortege, to Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.
