Stephanie Ann Skeeler Friesenhahn, born on May 8, 1952 in Orange, TX, passed away on May 8, 2017 in Garden Ridge, TX at the age of 65. Stephanie was a graduate of St Mary’s High School, Orange, TX 1970. She then graduated from Texas A&M in January of 1974 with a BS in Parks and Recreation, and went on and got her masters in Recreational Therapy from University of North Carolina in 1976. She worked with many non-profit organizations during her career and retired from the McNay Museum in San Antonio, December 2014. She enjoyed art, animals, reading and her Friday Night Supper Club. She also loved spending time with her family and caring for her pets. Stephanie is preceded in death by her father James F Skeeler. She is survived by her husband Mark C Friesenhahn, daughter Koehl A Friesenhahn; mother Marilyn Skeeler; and siblings, Nancy Pickard, Jane Hastings, and James W Skeeler. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm, with the rosary to be recited at 7:00pm, at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 12, 2017, 11:00am, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with the interment to follow at Selma Cemetery No. 2. In lieu of flowers family request memorial donations be made to St. Mary’s School Foundation, 2600 Bob Hall Rd, Orange, TX 77630.
