Louis Kaufman Nelson
Born: July 8, 1935
Died: April 18, 2017
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Louis Kaufman Nelson, 82, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on April 18, 2017.
He was born in San Antonio on July 8, 1935. He attended Texas A&M where he played baseball for the Aggies and graduated in 1957. He married his high school sweetheart, Catherine Ann Hundley, on July 18, 1953. After college, Louis began his coaching career and later went into the banking business.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Clark (Corky) Nelson, and his daughters Mary Catherine Nelson and Susan Nelson Dreyer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ann; his children, Debbie Nelson and Robert (Buzzy) Nelson; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louis' greatest joys were his family, the kids he coached throughout his coaching career, playing golf and spending time at his cabin in Wyoming with Ann. Louis never met a stranger and had such a generous and kind heart to all, especially his family. His family and friends will always remember his loving and out-going personality!
Service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
