Dr. Wiercinski completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University. While attending the University of Oklahoma under the Doctorate of Engineering program, majoring in Petroleum Engineering, he was
employed by The Western Company of North America as a District Engineer in Lafayette, Louisiana. He is a director for R&D with ML& Associates based in Italy since 2002.
He had over 30 years experience in both domestic and international mining, petroleum, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, and defense projects. Assignments include Chile Exploration Company, Schlumberger, Benham & Blair, Stearns-Roger, International Minerals, Air Products,
United Engineers, Raytheon, Sandoz, Sun Oil, Chevron and Lasmo. Defense requirements involve U.S. Air Force F-15, F-16, and Italian Air Force AerMacchi MB339 jet fighters. Dr. Wiercinski’s academic career covered instructor, professor and R&D posts at Texas
A&M, Oklahoma, Denver USA and Salento, Italy, Universities in Engineering and Marine Biology oil spill control.
He is survived by his sister, Mary, two nieces, and his brother-in-law. He will be sorely missed
