Edwin (Bubba) Henry Muehlhause, age 90, died peacefully in Tyler of Kidney failure on March 11, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Julia Anne Muehlhause of Tyler; his four daughters, Vicki Johnson, Melissa Benson, and Mindy Muehlhause of Dallas, and Monica Muehlhause-Horn and husband Steve Horn of Burbank, CA; his two grandsons, Beau Benson and wife Amy of Waco and Dustin Benson of Dallas; his three great-grandchildren, Loie, Charlie and Henry Benson of Waco; and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rita Muehlhause; his parents, Cora and Edwin H. Muehlhause Sr. of Belton; and his two sisters, Cora Laverne Mulhollan and Edna (Babe) Roberson. Ed was born on June 2, 1926 in Belton, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and afterwards, graduated from Texas A&M in 1948 where he was on the football team, and earned a degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked as a chemical engineer for Lone Star Gas in Dallas and retired from St. Regis Paper Company in computer management. Ed married Rita Malmborg on 12-18-1947, and they moved to Dallas where they raised four daughters. Ed married again in 1970 to Julia Anne Pinnell, and the couple had 47 years together, having settled in Tyler.. He was a devoted believer and member of First Baptist Church in Troup. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed sports, horses, boating, flying airplanes, and keeping up with new technology. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler, with Rev. Larry Craig officiating, under direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.
