In World War II: Served 3 years in Army combat duty in Europe

At A&M: bachelor’s degree – Dairy Manufacturing

Career progression included responsibilities for expanding Chapman Dairy in Wichita Falls and ice cream operation, then Metzger’s Dairy in Dallas (sales and purchasing/scheduling) and finally purchasing and maintenance oversight positions for Schepps Dairy facilities in Terrell and Dallas.

Served as secretary / treasurer of Dallas/Ft. Worth Dairy Society and received their service award in 1991.

World traveler, avid photography and “gadget guy” who kept young through enjoyment of home computers.

Preceded in death: wife of 60 years, Gwen.

Survivors: two children, including Ed Chapman ’76; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren
